Original story August 16, 2017: Today, Compulsion Games made several announcements regarding We Happy Few. Along the way to surviving among their drugged-up neighbors, friends, and lovers, they may uncover some long-buried secrets of Wellington Wells. Each playable character has their own strengths and dark secrets. Using stealth, combat, and conformity, players will uncover these characters’ reasons for giving up artificial happiness. With the help of Gearbox Publishing, players will get to experience improved mechanics as they control three new protagonists. With their character, they have collected, crafted, and interacted with the Joy-obsessed society of Wellington Wells. Those who have already played the game through Early Access or the Game Preview Program have been able to explore a portion of the procedurally generated world.
New content on the way includes a full-length story campaign played through three different characters and more than 250 unique encounters. After partnering with Gearbox Publishing, developer Compulsion Games is upping the ante as the game nears its formal release in April 2018.
Many gamers played it in early access, but people were still surprised by the story demo of We Happy Few during last year’s E3. If anyone was interested in this game, it’s probably time to pick it up. Despite the CE not containing a game key, it will be selling at $150.Ĭurrently the game is available in Early Access at $51 which will increase to $60 at launch next year. According to the developer, this is so that Early Access players can also purchase it without getting an extra key. However, it will not contain a copy of the game. They will be releasing a limited edition collector’s set with an array of items. While the game is only in ‘early access’ on PC and Xbox One, the PS4 will also be getting the full release version. We Happy Few will be releasing on April 13th next year. The developers has published a blog post on Steam detailing their plans and a full release date. However, it looks as though the game will be getting a full release soon enough. It’s currently in Early Access on PC and Game Preview on Xbox One. We Happy Few is the interesting first person horror game from Compulsion Games.
